Data Sources

Introduction

There is no limitation as to where you can create a new project. However, not all the data sources are avaialbe everywhere in the world. InQI tells you what data sources are available in your every project. In this article, we go through the wide range of data sources that InQI provides.

Imagery and AI recognition

Data source icon:
Description:

Our aerial images are taken from low altitudes and offer great resolution. Most importantly, these images are orthorectified and thus present terrain features accurately. Note that aerial images are much clearer than satellite images which are often taken from too high altitudes.

Using the magic of AI, the existing roof footprints and also many other objects such as pools, trees, hardscape, and even light poles are recognized rather accurately.

Coverage:

Currently, this data source is available in all over the USA and some parts of Canada.

Parcel Boundary and Property Information

Data source icon:
Description:

This data come from municipalities and cities. A polygon that defines the boundary of the parcel is included. This data source also includes ownership, zoning, flooding and much more data entries.

Coverage:

Here is the coverage for this data source at the current time.

  • USA
  • Canada (major cities)
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

International

Data source icon:
Description:

When aerial imagery and parcel boundary data are not avaialbe, this data source is used to replace them as much as possible. Of course it can never fully replace the data sources. This data source may or may not provide existing building footprints. These polygons can be inaccurate. Moreover, point objects are also available from this data source. Such point objects could include, for example, gates, turn points, etc... Pools, trees, and other objects are not yet included in the data source.

When using the international data source, the parcel boundaries are simply estimated with a rectangle.

Coverage:

Currently, this data source is available globally.

Wind

Description:

A historical record of wind speed and direction is included in this data source.

Coverage:

Currently, this data source is available globally.

Solar Potential

Data source icon:
Description:

This data source provide evaluation of the potential of the existing roofs for generating solar power.

Coverage:

Currently, this data source is available in the USA.

Elevation

Description:

This data source provide rather accurate elevation data for almost anywhere in the world.
